Truffles Australis Truffle Tours

Visit the home of Australia's first black truffles and enjoy a stroll through the oak plantations. Nestled just 9klm from Deloraine under the Western Tiers Mountain range, just off the Mole Creek Rd.

Come and hear the full story of the Tasmanian truffle industry and in season come on a truffle hunt with the trained dogs and see if you can unearth the mystical black truffle.

Truffles are available in season along with other truffle products, including truffled eggs, oils, honey, salt, mustard and paste all infused with the black truffle.

We do tours by appointment only, so please ensure you call to book as staff are not always available.

Cost per head for truffle plantation tours run all year round:

• Adults $40 each
• Students under 14 free
• Pensioners $30

Costs for Truffle hunts run only in season:

• Adults $60 each
• Students or juniors $10 each
• Pensioners $50 each

Truffle hunts are run from the last week in June until the first week in September and again from the 10th January until the 20th March.

Your hunt will take you on a guided tour of the plantation plus a walk with the truffle dogs and trainer to locate some truffles and if you don't mind getting dirty you may even be able to dig one up.

Please note that we do not have eftpos facilities on the farm.
